Academic research in Turkey is increasing in breath and depth on issues regarding POPs, starting from the 80s and significantly increasing in number in the last decade. Apart from studies conducted on environmental media, such as air, water, soil and sediments, there are studies conducted on human milk, adipose tissue, etc. as well as food stuffs to yield exposure levels.
